Great Yarmouth College of Art & Design

Here we have a photo of Steiner & Kett. They are working on paintings in what was the F2 room at Great Yarmouth College of Art and Design in Norfolk. The College, on Trafalgar Road, was based in an old boys public school. The staff were an affable, mixed bunch. At the time I was there, Norman Davis was Principal. The college has since been subsumed into Norwich School of Art.

Nigel Moody, aka Steiner (with Arran sweater) was an exciteable student. One of the F2 tutors (dEREK mACE) would occasionally placate him WITH A TIN TRAY!

    Dear Tim,
give me some more detail about them – I can’t recall them, but the blokes I most remember from your gang are: Ralph (from Docking) and Robert Oxley, both doing Interior Design. Tell me what you are doing. Will blog some more in reply but getting ready for school at the moment. AD
