For figuration by an English artist of the London School - who was encouraged to work in the tonalist, quietist ways by the likes of Tony Eyton, Peter Greenham, Ben Levene et al, we have Alan Dedman. Generating new British Art for the Russian, American and Indian markets, he completes his landscapes/cityscapes and still-lifes in various mediums including: oils, acrylics, gouache and pencil.Bold and challenging with lively and intuitive use of colour these representational paintings of the landscape and cityscape are done 'in situ'. They include scenes of Clevedon in North Somerset and Bristol. The humble still-life also forms a significant part of Alan's portfolio. Small, earthy studies of everyday objects using unlikely mediums such as seived loam and thick pastes of gum arabic - these paintings are collectable and unique. Some of these Fine Art works are currently for sale on this website. If you would like to commission Alan to produce an artwork for you please use the contact form on his contact page, where you can include photo's and details of the subject of your choice.
