Studio practice is an important part of Alan’s work where he devotes time to his artistic aims. The effort involved in keeping a studio is part of any artist’s job; providing the concentration and solitude necessary for creative endeavour.

History

Alan Dedman keeps a studio in the West Country (of the United Kingdom).

It is set within the grounds of a twelfth century manor house. The studio building itself was made in 1835 and has Victorian Gothic features. It is above what is assumed to have once been an ice store in the hillside.
