Alan’s oeuvre encompasses carving, assemblage and printmaking as well as painting and drawing. Each work is a unique experience; positing a fresh take on everyday things. Alan Dedman studied to Post-Graduate level at the Royal Academy Schools, in London, England. All his work derives from the emphasis on drawing which pervaded the curriculum during his student days there. Dedman uses colour to good effect in all his works. He believes art is a means to personal development, integration & wholeness & is not bound by the demands of any one style.
